Closed churches - St Louis de France

On Sunday 4 February 2018, at their last annual Parish meeting, the members of St Louis de France Parish agreed to close their church on Easter Sunday, 1 April 2018.  This decision was made necessary by a lack of financial resources and a steadily decreasing number of parishioners.  This precipitated a reduction in material goods and the creation of tighter bonds with other christian communities.  An official closing mass was celebrated on 27 May 2018 by Archbishop Valéry Vienneau and the community was integrated mostly with the neighboring parish of Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix.
