  • The Hour Has Come!

The late Fr. Thomas Berry wrote in his book, The Great Work: “For children to live only in contact with concrete and steel and wires and wheel and machines and computers and plastic, to seldom experience any primordial reality or even the stars at night, is a soul deprivation that diminishes the deepest of their human experiences.” Is all lost? Have we gone past the point of no return? No. Our faith tells us there is always hope. That same faith tells us that God who is fully incarnate in this material world is also the One who reconciles all things and fills the earth with new life. We must do our part as well as responsible stewards. We must repent of our destructive ways. “Use” as our primary relationship with the earth must be abandoned. A new story, a hope-filled story, based on sound science, Biblical wisdom, and mutual respect for all forms of life wants to be told. Come, join us on retreat from Tuesday, March 28th until Thursday, March 30th at St. Bernard’s Church beginning at 7 p.m.
